Norma Cacho

Norma Cacho es etnóloga  activista lesbiana feminista e integrante de la Colectiva Lésbica Feminista Autónoma y de la coordinación nacional de la Marcha Mundial de las Mujeres en México. Vive en Chiapas desde hace 6 años, durante los cuales ha trabajado en diversos procesos organizativos con mujeres y comunidades. Actualmente es colaboradora del Colectivo de Empleadas Domésticas de los Altos de Chiapas en el área de formación política y fortalecimiento organizativo. Norma participó en una mesa redonda sobre la acción política y creativa de las mujeres de Chiapas y habló de la acción feminista de la Marcha Mundial de las mujeres en la región.

 

Norma Cacho is an ethnologist, lesbian, feminist activist, and member of the Lesbian, Feminist, Autonomous Collective and of the national coordinating team of the International Women’s March in Mexico. She has lived in Chiapas for the past 6 years, during which time she has worked in various organizations with women and communities. She is currently a collaborator with the Collective of Domestic Workers from the Chiapanecan Highlands, where she provides assistance pertaining to political formation and organizational empowerment. Norma participated in a roundtable on political, creative actions undertaken by women in Chiapas and spoke about the feminist action involved the International Women’s March and women in the region.
