The Yes Men y Activismo Creativo: Una Ponencia

El miércoles 22 de agosto del 2012 los Yes Men presentaron una ponencia sobre su trayectoria profesional y activista a las 7 p.m. en el Centro Hemisférico de Performance y Política en San Cristóbal de las Casas. Hablaron del tema general del activismo creativo, su manipulación de los medios y la aplicación de sus métodos al contexto chiapaneco con un grupo de 80 activistas, periodistas, artistas y miembros de la sociedad civil. Dicha presentación fue parte de su estancia en Chiapas entre el 20 y el 24 de agosto, la cual fue una colaboración entre el Centro Hemisférico en Chiapas, el Instituto Hemisférico en Nueva York, EDELO, Promedios y el Paliacate.

On Wednesday, August 22, 2012, the Yes Men presented a lecture on their professional experiences and activism at 7 PM in Centro Hemisférico in San Cristóbal. They spoke about creative activism in general; their own, personal manipulation of the media; and the application of their methods to the Chiapanecan context with a group of 80 activists, journalists, artists, and members of civic society. Said presentation was part of the Yes Men’s brief residency in Chiapas from August 20 to 24, a stay developed by Centro Hemisférico in collaboration with the Hemispheric Institute in New York, EDELO, Promedios and Paliacate.
